How a RE Transaction Works
The first step to you benefiting from our approach is to understand how a general real-estate transaction works. Take a minute or two and read this - it may open your eyes.

In a nutshell, the below applies to the majority of real estate transactions:

    1. Somebody wants to sell a home. He or she contacts a real estate agent (agent A), who lists the home on the MLS. Agent A is now the "listing/seller's agent", and will receive a 3% commission when the house is sold. This agent represents the seller's interests.

    2. A real-estate agent from another office (Agent B) has access to this home through the MLS. Agent B finds a buyer (far and away the most likely scenario), and becomes known as the "buyers agent". He or she gets a 3% commission as well. This agent represents the buyer's interests.

    3. Once in a great while, the listing/seller agent and the buying agent are the same person. That lucky person then gets the whole 6% commission. Unfortunately for the home buyer, they will have bought a home without proper representation and probably won't get the best deal.

So now you see how the agents get paid (the percentages/scenarios can vary slightly but the basic principles are the same). There are typically two agents involved in the majority of real estate transactions. Let's continue:

    4. As you may have gathered there are really two separate commissions involved, one for listing a property on the MLS and another one for finding a buyer.

    5. When you sell your home through Florida Rebate Realty, you'll save on the listing commission (usually 3%) you'd otherwise pay. You simply pay us a nominal fee for listing your home.

    6. AND when you buy a home through us, we will give you back (rebate) the buyer agent's commission (usually 3%) less our professional fee.

    7. You win either way - if we are selling a house for you, we will not charge you a listing/seller agent commission. If you are buying a house through us, we will rebate you the buyer agent commission.

    8. We can do this because we work on a value based fee structure. We are a fully licensed, professional office who chooses not to work on commission (unless you decide otherwise). You simply pay us a value-based fee for the services we provide (which is always lower than the traditional buyer agent and/or listing agent commissions you would otherwise pay, knowingly or unknowingly).
